Pokemon Go has recently announced with a new video trailer that shows Pichu and Togepi. Niantic has been teasing us with new features like the “nearby Pokemon” feature and Holiday Pikachu with a Santa hat to commemorate this coming holiday season. Throughout the next few months, Niantic will be releasing Pokemons from Johto Region slowly but surely to us.

Data miners of Pokemon Go has already discovered Gen 2 Pokemon data in the recent update. It is only a matter of time Niantic will release it and here it is. In the video, Togepi and Pichu were seen hatching from the eggs within Pokemon Go. Some players has discussed that the release of the few new generation 2 pokemons will be the baby pokemons found in Pokemon Gold and Silver namely Igglybuff, Cleffa, Smoochum, Tyrogue, Elekid and Magby. Since only a select few of them would be released first, we can expect that the baby Pokemons would come to us first before the full Johto region Pokemons were to release.

This is not a major genereation 2 addition of Pokemons, however we’d expect the new starter Pokemons such as Cyndaquil, Totodile and Chikorita to be revealed soon. Nonetheless, Holiday Pikachu will be available for us this Christmas for capture up til 29th December. So get on out, catch that special Pikachu and share it with #HolidayPikachu!
