Granblue Fantasy is set to welcome back two fan-favorite collaborations this October, with the Gintama crossover returning on October 7 and the My Hero Academia crossover following on October 14.
The announcement was made during the “Granblue Fantasy Live: Welcome to Midsummer Showtime Special” broadcast, which aired on August 8, 2026, from the Granblue Fantasy Extra Fes 2026 event held in Osaka. Both collaborations have appeared in Granblue Fantasy before, and their return gives players another chance to take part in the crossover content tied to each series. Further details on the specific rewards, story content, and characters included in each rerun have not yet been shared.
The Gintama collaboration in Granblue Fantasy first ran in October 2021 under the title Gin Tama: Shonen Jump Is Best Enjoyed Cover to Cover. During its original run, clearing the story let players recruit Gintoki, Shinpachi, and Kagura from the Yorozuya group, alongside Shinsengumi members Hijikata and Okita.

The My Hero Academia collaboration debuted in January 2024 under the title My Hero Academia: Rescue Another World. Deku, Bakugo, Todoroki, Ochaco, and Tsuyu were confirmed as playable characters for that event, with All Might featured as a summon.
