Paramount Games Studio and PlatinumGames have announced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin, an action-adventure game based on the TMNT comic book series of the same name. The game is coming to consoles and PC, though specific platforms have not been named yet. The announcement was made during Summer Game Fest 2026. The game follows the last surviving Ninja Turtle on a desperate mission for vengeance, staying true to the story from the original comic series.

This announcement comes with some background worth knowing. A version of The Last Ronin was previously announced back in 2023, developed by Black Forest Games and published by THQ Nordic for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. That version never made it to release. A Paramount Games Studio representative confirmed to Gematsu that development on that version had already stopped before the Skydance and Paramount merger took place.
Paramount Games Studio then decided to pick the project back up and bring in a new developer. “Knowing how much fans were anticipating the game, Paramount Games Studio decided to continue development and opted for PlatinumGames, as they stood out as the partner that truly understood their vision for The Last Ronin,” the representative said. No release date or platform specifics have been announced at this time.
