Bandai Namco has announced Gundam Rogue Orbit, a new action game set in an all-new Gundam universe. The game was revealed during Summer Game Fest 2026 and is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam in 2027.
Developed by Bandai Namco Studios, Gundam Rogue Orbit is described as a “high-mobility action game that delivers a bold new take on Gundam through fast, cinematic combat.” The game takes place in an entirely new story that is not tied to any existing anime or manga series, set in a brand new universe.
Gundam Rogue Orbit will feature fast-paced battles set in sprawling environments, with players taking on enemy hordes, massive bosses, and seemingly insurmountable challenges, all set against a sci-fi backdrop. Combat appears to focus heavily on mobility, with the Gundam Helix capable of rapidly moving across battlefields while engaging large groups of enemies.
Bandai Namco is also pitching the game as a fresh starting point for players who are new to the Gundam franchise, while still aiming to offer something for long-time fans of the series. It is not yet known whether the game will be primarily a single-player experience or include online multiplayer elements. More information on the game is expected to be shared in the coming months. No specific release window beyond 2027 has been given at this time.
