EA Sports has rolled out a major update for EA Sports FC 26 and EA Sports FC Mobile focused on international football. Called “The World’s Game,” the update is free for anyone who already owns the base game and brings in a bunch of new content across multiple modes.
The new update adds 53 fully licensed national teams, including 41 that have qualified for this summer’s tournament. Countries like England, Germany, Mexico, Canada, the USA, Uruguay, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, and Australia are all in. EA also announced new licensing deals with Brazil, Turkey, Spain, and Portugal, meaning those teams now come with official kits, crests, and proper player likenesses.
On the PC and console side, FC 26 now has a 48-team standalone tournament mode that runs through the Group Stage and Knockout Rounds all the way to the final. Players can also set up one-off international matches in Kick Off using any of the 60 available nations.
In Football Ultimate Team, players who log in during the Festival of Football event will get a free 93 OVR Pelé ICON along with three Evolutions tied to his 1970 international achievements. A new Journey of Nations event hub is also live, cycling through content from all five continents each week with rewards based on historic nations and notable players. New Tokens have also been added to give players more control over how they earn and spend rewards.
Career Mode gets a piece of the update too. Manager Career now includes an International Men’s Tournament that follows the same format as the main World’s Game mode. Player Career gets Festival of Football-themed ICONs, new Manager Live Challenges, and Season Objectives connected to national teams.

For those who haven’t bought the game yet, EA is offering a World’s Game Edition that includes 3,000 Season Points, a Gold Starting XI Pack (84 OVR or higher, with at least one player rated 86+), and three untradeable Player Picks ranging from Elite Campaign players to ICONs, Heroes, and International Team of the Season selections.
On mobile, FC Mobile’s version of the update brings a new Tournament Mode with over 50 national teams, each with their own kits, history, star ratings, and flag-themed player items. A new Quick Match feature also lets players create a game room, share a code, and jump into a match with friends or other players using either their personal squad or any club or national team.
