Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have announced that Elden Ring Tarnished Edition will be released on Nintendo Switch 2 on August 28. The game is a complete package that includes the base game along with its major DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, all in one release. On top of the base game and expansion, Tarnished Edition will also include new armor, weapons, and customization options for Torrent’s appearance. These additional content items will not be exclusive to the Switch 2 release of Elden Ring, as they will also be made available on other platforms.

Tarnished Edition was first announced during a Nintendo Direct presentation on April 2, 2025. It was later delayed, with the official Elden Ring Twitter account confirming on October 23, 2025, that the release had been pushed to 2026.
The Tarnished Pack will also launch on August 28 for players on existing versions of the game, bringing the same new content to other platforms. The new content includes two new starting classes called the Knight of Ides and the Heavy Knight, along with three new customization options for the mount Torrent, four additional armor types, and new weapons and combat techniques. Elden Ring and Shadow of the Erdtree are currently available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
