Amazon Games, alongside Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog, has shared new details on Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, which has now been officially confirmed for release on February 10, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The release date marks a delay from its previous 2026 launch window. The game is a remake of the original Tomb Raider, first released in 1996, and reimagines Lara Croft’s iconic adventure using modern technology.
At launch, the game will be available in two editions. The Standard Edition will be priced at $59.99 and includes the base game along with a pre-order bonus that grants early access to the Survivor Outfit costume. Meanwhile, the Deluxe Edition, priced at $69.99, includes several additional bonuses, such as 48 hours of early access, the Parisian Fugitive Outfit, and a story DLC package scheduled for release after launch.
In Legacy of Atlantis, players once again take on the role of Lara Croft as she embarks on a quest to recover fragments of the legendary Scion, an ancient artifact imbued with extraordinary power. Lara’s journey will take her across a variety of exotic locations lost to time, including the jungles of Peru, the ancient ruins of Greece, the deserts of Egypt, and a mysterious island in the Mediterranean Sea shrouded in myth and legend.
This remake does more than overhaul the visuals with the power of Unreal Engine 5. It also expands upon the original storyline with new narrative elements that connect Lara’s first adventure to events that unfold later in her life. Alongside exploration, players will encounter a wide range of ancient puzzles that require manipulating water flow, redirecting light, activating hidden mechanisms, and deciphering mysterious symbols to uncover secrets buried for centuries.
From a gameplay perspective, Lara will rely on her agility, physical prowess, and grappling hook to overcome a variety of dangerous environments. Combat also plays a major role in the adventure, with Lara’s iconic dual pistols returning alongside a range of additional weapons that can be unlocked throughout the game. Players will face ferocious wildlife, ruthless mercenaries, and mythical creatures that will test their survival skills in every corner of this perilous world.
