Filipino Nintendo fans now have a confirmed date to mark on their calendars. The first-ever Nintendo Authorized Store in the Philippines is officially opening on May 22, 2026, located at Level 2 of SM Makati, Ayala Center, Makati City.
SM Makati had already teased the store’s arrival back in April through a Facebook post, showing the construction barricade already up at the site. The board-up featured Mario front and center alongside a “Coming Soon” sign, wrapped in Nintendo’s well-known red branding. It was hard to miss for anyone walking past.

Nintendo is one of the most recognized names in gaming, home to long-running franchises like Mario, Pokemon, and The Legend of Zelda. While Filipino fans have been able to buy Nintendo products through the brand’s official Shopee and Lazada stores, this will be the first physical, authorized Nintendo retail location in the country.
The store is opening at an active time for the brand. The Nintendo Switch 2 has already launched in the Philippines, and titles like Pokopia and Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream are among the games currently drawing attention from players.

At this time, details beyond the opening date and location have not been officially released. A store page has been created, and more information is expected to come out as the opening date gets closer.
