After much anticipation, Bandai Namco and developer Rebel Wolves have confirmed that The Blood of Dawnwalker will have its release date on September 3 with pre-orders currently available. The announcement came during a special 45-minute Road to Launch event held on Tuesday, where the developers shared a closer look at what players can expect from the game. The event included new footage of open world gameplay, a brand new story trailer, PC system requirements, and more.
It’s easy to go a step too far… go down a path you can’t turn back from.

Set in 14th-century Europe, the game takes place during a dark and turbulent period in history. Bloody conflicts are tearing across the land, and the Black Death is killing off survivors. Amid all this chaos, vampires step out of the shadows to claim freedom and power that they have been denied for centuries. Other creatures of the night follow suit, and the world is changed forever.
Players take on the role of Coen, a young man who has been turned into a Dawnwalker, a being caught between the world of the living and the realm of the night. The central conflict puts players in a tough spot: fight to hold on to your humanity, or give in to your cursed powers in order to save the people you love. The game frames this as a deeply personal choice, raising the question of whether one soul is worth the lives of those closest to you.

Beyond the release date reveal, the Road to Launch event gave fans a more detailed look at the game’s open world, which appears to be built around the medieval European setting. A new story trailer was also shown, giving a better picture of Coen’s journey and the larger world he inhabits. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
