Fast-paced action platformer with roguelike elements Corebreaker is set to launch in Early Access on May 9, 2026, for PC via Steam. The game will be priced at USD7.99 (around MYR38), as announced by publisher Astrolabe Games and developer aQuadiun.
The Early Access version will include the core gameplay loop along with a substantial amount of playable content. However, the developers have confirmed that the game is still a work in progress, with balance adjustments and additional content planned throughout the Early Access period.
Early Access Content and Roadmap

According to the developer, Corebreaker’s Early Access build will already offer a solid foundation of gameplay, but it will not represent the final experience. Some systems are still being refined, and players should expect ongoing updates as development continues.
New enemies, weapons, and upgrades will be added over time. The Early Access phase is expected to last approximately three to six months, leading into the full release.
A Roguelike Action Platformer Built Around Fast Combat

Corebreaker places players in control of Nova, a robot designed to awaken after humanity’s extinction. The game focuses on fast movement, tight platforming, and high-speed combat across shifting underground environments.
Players must battle through four distinct biomes filled with advanced robotic enemies while uncovering Nova’s purpose. The core objective is to reach the mysterious “core” while surviving increasingly dangerous encounters.
Corebreaker Gameplay Systems

The game blends roguelike structure with action platforming mechanics. Each run allows players to unlock abilities, weapons, and upgrades while progressing deeper into the world.
Nova can run, jump, dash, and shoot through enemy hordes, with combat designed around fluid movement and responsive controls. In addition, melee attacks can be combined with ranged abilities to create more dynamic combat options.
Although death resets progression in each run, players retain certain resources and upgrades. These can be used to permanently enhance Nova’s systems, unlocking stronger abilities and weapons for future attempts.
Procedural Depth and Replayability

Corebreaker features a shifting underground world where layouts change with each run. Enemy types and placements also evolve as players progress deeper into the ruins.
Each biome includes unique bosses and elite enemies, adding difficulty spikes and variety. Players can also discover hidden rooms, resource caches, and upgrade terminals while exploring destructible environments.
Key Features of Corebreaker

Corebreaker includes a wide range of systems designed to support replayability and build variety. These include more than 20 permanent abilities, over 50 upgrade combinations, and more than 40 unlockable weapons.
The game also features a global leaderboard, encouraging players to improve performance and compete for top rankings.
Early Access Release Date

Corebreaker will launch in Early Access on May 9, 2026, for PC via Steam. The developers plan to continue expanding the game throughout the Early Access period before its full release.
With its focus on fast-paced combat, roguelike progression, and procedural level design, Corebreaker aims to deliver a high-speed action experience that evolves over time.
