Cygames and Cygames Osaka have announced an open beta test for Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok, giving players an early chance to experience new gameplay systems ahead of its full release. The beta will run from April 24 to April 27, with preload available starting April 23 at 7:00 a.m. UTC.
The test will be available across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
A Focus on New Systems and Network Testing

According to Cygames, the open beta is designed to let players experience the newly introduced Summon mechanic while also helping the developers evaluate network stability, gameplay functionality, and overall performance. Players will also be asked to complete a short survey after participating, which will be used to refine the final release.
As the developers note, the beta build is still in development, meaning players may encounter bugs, crashes, or connectivity issues during gameplay. Cygames emphasized that feedback from participants will play an important role in improving the final version of the game.
How to Join the Open Beta

Participation in the Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok open beta is straightforward. Players can simply download the beta client from their platform’s digital storefront once it becomes available.
On PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, a PlayStation Plus subscription is not required to participate. Meanwhile, Nintendo Switch 2 users will need a Nintendo Switch Online membership in order to access multiplayer features. For PC players, the Steam client is required to run the beta.
Preloading begins on April 23, followed by the official start of the beta on April 24 at 7:00 a.m. UTC. The test will conclude on April 27 at 6:59 a.m. UTC, although scheduling may change if emergency maintenance is required.
Playable Content and Online Features

During the beta, players will be able to access Tutorial Mode and Quest Mode, with four quests available in total. Online multiplayer will be supported across all Quest Mode content, while local wireless play will be available exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2.
Quest progression from the previous closed beta will carry over if players participated, although gear and party setups will not transfer. Notably, the new Summon mechanic becomes available after completing three quests and can be used in a special fourth quest titled Sephira’s Sanguine Glimmer.
Introducing the Summon System

A key highlight of the beta is the introduction of the Summon system, which allows players to call powerful entities during combat to shift the momentum of battle. Players can equip summons from the main menu and activate them during quests by filling a shared party gauge through link attacks and Skybound Arts.
Once the gauge is full, players can unleash summons to deliver devastating effects alongside their party. Additionally, a mechanic called Primal Burst activates during link time, allowing Lyria to channel powerful energy when all party members trigger a full burst with their Skybound Arts.
Cygames confirmed that six summons will be available in the beta version. However, their final properties may differ in the retail release.
Playable Characters and Platforms

The open beta features a large roster of playable characters, including familiar faces such as Katalina, Rackam, Io, Charlotta, Narmaya, Lancelot, Siegfried, and Zeta, among others. Players can experiment with different party compositions across quests, with both solo and multiplayer options supported.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok is scheduled for full release on July 9 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
With its expanded systems, large character roster, and emphasis on cooperative combat, the upcoming open beta offers the first major hands-on opportunity to experience how the new entry evolves the action RPG formula.
