Bandai Namco Holdings announced that it will be undergoing a company restructuring, along with a series of executive and departmental leadership changes across its various business groups. The changes take effect on April 1 and cover multiple arms of the company, including Bandai Namco Holdings itself, Bandai (toys and hobby), Bandai Namco Entertainment (digital), Bandai Namco Filmworks (video and music), and Bandai Namco Experience (amusement).

Several key personnel moves are part of the shake-up:
Osamu Sarudate will take on the role of executive officer of Bandai’s card business division. He previously served in Bandai Namco Entertainment’s NE production department unit 1.
Koji Tezuka is stepping into the role of executive officer and head of the Gundam division at Bandai Namco Filmworks. He previously held the position of general manager of the card business division and was already serving as an executive officer there.
Yuzuke Minagawa has been named executive officer of the CX park business division at Bandai Namco Experience, coming from roles in the business development and facility development divisions.

Beyond personnel, a number of departments are also being renamed or reorganized. One notable change is within Bandai Namco Entertainment’s AE division, where the “765 Production” unit is being renamed to “IP & Contents Production.” The company says this change is aimed at supporting wider global expansion.
This restructuring comes amid a broader period of change for Bandai Namco. In July, Bandai Namco Holdings and Sony Group Corporation signed a strategic business alliance agreement. As part of the deal, Sony agreed to acquire 16 million Bandai Namco shares from existing shareholders for around 68 billion yen (approximately US$464.5 million), giving Sony roughly a 2.5% stake in the company.
