Arc System Works announced during the February State of Play that MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls will launch on August 6, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC. Players in New Zealand, Australia, Japan, and Korea will get the game on August 7. The game’s first character trailer introduced “The Unbreakable X-Men,” a new team formed to face an incoming threat.
According to producer Takeshi Yamanaka, many core X-Men members are unable to fight due to a recent battle, so Storm steps up as leader to assemble a fresh roster.
The game will feature Episode Mode, a story experience that mixes American comics and Japanese manga styles. Arc System Works worked with Marvel Games and a writer from the original Marvel comics to create the story. Episode Mode will include motion comics with manga-style art from well-known artists, full voice acting in 10 languages, and spatial audio support on PS5 through Tempest 3D AudioTech. The mode will also use the DualSense controller’s features to add physical feedback to the storytelling.
MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls will be available in three versions:
Standard Edition ($59.99)
Digital Deluxe Edition ($84.99) – Includes the base game, a Year 1 Characters & Stage Pass with 4 additional characters and 1 stage, plus Howard the Duck and Cosmo lobby items
Ultimate Edition ($99.99) – Includes everything from the Digital Deluxe Edition, plus 5 character costumes (Storm, Captain America, Doctor Doom, Iron Man, and Spider-Man wearing the Advanced Suit 2.0 from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2) and an Animated Chromatic color option for all 20 launch characters

All pre-orders will receive the Infinity Gauntlet lobby equipment, Baby Groot lobby pet, and Cosmic Surfboard lobby ride. Pre-orders open on February 19, 2026 at participating retailers and on PlayStation Store and PC storefronts. PC pre-orders in select Asia-Pacific regions begin February 20.
