Remedy Entertainment has announced that Jean-Charles Gaudechon will take over as the company’s new CEO starting March 1. Until then, current interim CEO and company co-founder Markus Maki will continue in his role.
Gaudechon brings more than 20 years of experience in the gaming and digital entertainment industry to Remedy. He has held senior leadership positions at major companies including Electronic Arts and CCP Games.

Henri Osterlund, chairman of Remedy Entertainment’s board, welcomed the appointment. “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Jean-Charles (JC) Gaudechon to lead Remedy into a phase of profitable growth,” Osterlund said. He noted that Gaudechon’s track record in growing gaming franchises and leading international studios makes him a good fit for Remedy’s current stage. The company aims to accelerate growth, move toward greater independence through self-publishing, and deliver value to players, partners, and shareholders.
Gaudechon expressed excitement about joining the studio. “I’m excited and honored to join Remedy at a pivotal time,” he said. “The studio has a unique creative identity and a strong pipeline.” He emphasized his commitment to protecting what makes Remedy special while delivering high-quality games and scaling the company for long-term success.

The new CEO also highlighted Remedy’s ambitions for the future. “Remedy has the voice and the ambition to be a pillar of the industry’s future,” Gaudechon said. He stressed the importance of staying connected to players and strengthening the studio’s independence in building and publishing games, while maintaining relationships with existing partners. Gaudechon confirmed he will be relocating to Finland with his family to work directly with the team at the studio.
