MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls will feature a roster of 20 playable characters at launch, according to an updated listing on the game’s Steam page. The upcoming fighting game is being developed by Arc System Works in collaboration with PlayStation Studios and Marvel Games, and is scheduled to release in 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC.
While the full launch roster has yet to be revealed, eight characters have been officially confirmed so far. These include Captain America (Steve Rogers), Doctor Doom, Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes), Iron Man, Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan), Spider-Man (Peter Parker), Star-Lord, and Storm. Additional characters are expected to be announced closer to release.
A Four-Versus-Four Marvel Tag Fighter

At its core, MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls is a four-versus-four tag team fighting game. Instead of focusing on solo matchups, the game emphasizes team building, synergy, and momentum-based combat. Players can mix heroes and villains to create unique combinations and discover new strategies.
Each character features a bold, anime-inspired visual style. Meanwhile, stages draw inspiration from iconic Marvel locations. Some arenas also include interactive elements and stage transitions, which keep fights dynamic and visually engaging. As a result, matches aim to feel fast, flashy, and constantly in motion.
Online Play and Single-Player Episode Mode

Combat in MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls focuses on accessibility without sacrificing depth. The game offers adjustable control options, including traditional inputs and simplified commands. Because of this, new players can jump in quickly, while experienced players can still master advanced mechanics.
In addition, easy chain combos help players maintain pressure during fights. At the same time, deeper systems reward experimentation with team composition and timing. Together, these elements encourage both creativity and skill growth.
PC Features and DualSense Support

On PC, MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls will support Ultra Settings, delivering locked 60 frames per second gameplay during battles alongside crisp 4K visuals on compatible displays. The PC version will also feature full DualSense controller support, allowing players to experience adaptive triggers and other controller features when using a wired connection.
Release Platforms and Window
MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls is currently slated to launch in 2026 for PlayStation 5, as well as PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. More details on the remaining launch characters and additional modes are expected to be shared in future updates.
As one of Marvel’s most ambitious fighting game projects to date, MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls is shaping up to be a major release for fans of both competitive fighters and the Marvel Universe.
