Final Fantasy XIV celebrates Valentione’s Day with a new limited-time dungeon inspired by the fast-paced chaos of the Overcooked series. The seasonal activity offers players a playful alternative to traditional combat-focused content while delivering a full lineup of cosmetic rewards. Square Enix uses this event to highlight teamwork, timing, and multitasking rather than raw damage output.
The dungeon arrives shortly after Patch 7.41, which expanded Cosmic Exploration and Phantom Weapon quests and introduced balance adjustments for Jobs such as Summoner. With major progression content already available, the Valentione’s Day event serves as a lighter diversion designed for short, repeatable sessions.

Enter the Patisserie

Players can access the new dungeon, known as the Patisserie, during the Valentione’s Day event in Gridania. The event runs until February 16. One to four players can queue for the dungeon at any time, either solo, with a premade light party, or through the matchmaking system.
Each run gives players ten minutes to gather ingredients and assemble as many Valentione’s Day cakes as possible. Ingredients appear around the edges of the dungeon, encouraging constant movement and coordination. Malfunctioning mammets patrol the area and attempt to freeze players mid-task. Players can avoid these enemies or disable them temporarily using a special whistle action. Success depends on awareness and cooperation rather than combat efficiency.
Seasonal Rewards and Chocolates

Players earn Valentione’s Chocolates based on how many cakes they complete during each run. After finishing the seasonal quest “The Icing on the Cake,” players can exchange this currency for event rewards. This year’s lineup includes the Comfy and Cozy Valentione attire sets, multiple Orchestrion Rolls featuring music from the Patisserie, and themed housing items.
Collecting all new rewards requires a total of 71 Valentione’s Chocolates. The structure encourages repeated play without demanding long sessions. Players can also purchase select items from previous Valentione’s Day events, including the Bouquet emote, through the Final Fantasy XIV Online Store.
Open to New and Returning Players
Valentione’s Day remains one of Final Fantasy XIV’s most accessible seasonal events. Players only need to reach level 15 and complete the Sastasha dungeon to take part. This requirement allows Free Trial players to participate alongside subscribed players. The event also overlaps with the Free Login Campaign, which lets inactive subscribers return and experience the festivities for a limited period.
The Patisserie dungeon highlights Final Fantasy XIV’s flexibility in seasonal event design. By drawing inspiration from party games like Overcooked, Square Enix delivers an event that focuses on cooperation and fun, reinforcing the game’s reputation for creative and varied limited-time content.
