LEVEL-5 and Aiming have revealed Inazuma Eleven: Cross, a new mobile game coming to iOS and Android. The game will be free to download with optional in-app purchases, though no release date has been set. Players in Japan can currently sign up for a closed beta test through the official website, with spots limited to 20,000 users.
Inazuma Eleven: Cross is a simulation game built specifically for smartphones. It features a new story with a fresh protagonist whose personality differs from Sasanami Unmei (known as Destin Bellows in English). The game uses simple, command-based controls designed for quick gaming sessions.
Like Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road, players take on the coaching role and manage their team. Gameplay centers around building your squad, planning strategies, and competing in matches. During games, players make coaching decisions rather than controlling individual characters directly. The match results depend on how well you’ve customized your team and the choices you make. An auto-play option is also available for matches.
LEVEL-5 confirmed that save data from Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road cannot be transferred to Cross. However, it will work with a future Victory Road sequel. Company president and CEO Akihiro Hino mentioned he has already started writing the script for this upcoming sequel.
