HazeDenki has announced Sister Other Paranoia, a new visual novel coming to PC via Steam. The game reunites several creators from Needy Streamer Overload, including original writer and director nyalra, artist Ohisashiburi, composer Aiobahn +81, and UI designer Maruino.

This is the team’s first major release since Needy Streamer Overload earned a cult following for its sharp writing and unflinching look at online parasocial relationships. Unlike the previous game, Sister Other Paranoia embraces a classic visual novel style, with text dominating the screen and players reading through the story.
Exploring the Story

In Sister Other Paranoia, players follow an older brother who becomes increasingly fearful of others. He develops the unsettling ability to read minds. After a light novel he writes wins an unexpected award, jealousy from others isolates him further.

His only comfort comes from living with his younger sister, but their bond gradually turns into an unhealthy codependency. The game frames this dynamic as central to the story, exploring moral ambiguity and the consequences of the protagonist’s mind-reading powers. Players can use this ability to manipulate characters’ insecurities, influencing the narrative in multiple ways.
Gameplay and Visuals

The gameplay in Sister Other Paranoia is simple. Players click through screens to read the story and can hide text to enjoy the artwork. The team designed it as a pure visual novel experience without additional mechanics.

The game tackles mature themes and includes depictions of injury appropriate for a 16+ rating. Some background images were enhanced with Adobe AI tools, but the story and main in-game assets remain entirely authored by HazeDenki.
Release and Availability

Currently, Sister Other Paranoia is confirmed only for PC via Steam. HazeDenki has not revealed a release date, nor announced plans for other platforms.

Fans of Needy Streamer Overload and classic visual novels should keep an eye on updates as HazeDenki prepares to launch this psychological drama.
