Xbox has started a new demo event to showcase indie games from its ID@Xbox program. The ID@Xbox Indie Selects Demo Fest is now live and offers players 37 demos from indie developers worldwide. Players can download and try these games for free until December 31, after which many demos will be removed from the Xbox store. Nearly all demos work on Xbox consoles, with 35 of the 37 available on the platform. Some demos also work on PC and handheld devices.
Xbox has reminded players that these demos show games still in development, so they may contain issues that won’t appear in the finished versions. “Most demos represent early builds and may differ from the final release, including regional availability, as developers continue polishing their games,” the company stated.
The demo fest includes four newly announced games coming to Xbox:
Knuckle Jet by Rain Games is an action platformer from the creators of Teslagrad. Players control Anastasia and use the Knuckle Jet to bounce off walls and defeat enemies. The game offers two-player couch co-op and a competitive mode called Knuckleball.
Megabattle by MadCat is a roguelite game where players create decks, build robots, and explore different strategies.

Raging Bill by Artpunk Studio is a sandbox game where players control Bill, a former MMA champion and billionaire. The game features a 5km² world built in Unreal Engine 5 with different biomes and activities.
Reef Defense by Swift Creek Games is a strategy game where players defend their reef from crustaceans trying to reach their eggs.

The 37 games available in the demo fest include titles like Amazing Frog?, Coffee Talk Tokyo, Pathologic 3, and Worshippers of Cthulhu. The demos cover different genres and come from developers around the world. Players interested in trying these indie games can find the demos on the Xbox store. The event runs through the end of December, giving players several weeks to explore the available titles.
