2K and Hangar 13 have launched the Free Ride Update for Mafia: The Old Country, offering all owners a free expansion. The update adds new combat and racing challenges, vehicles, weapons, outfits, charms, and exciting gameplay features. Players can download it starting Thursday, November 20 at 8 a.m. PT / 11 a.m. ET on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
Explore New Challenges and Races

Free Ride lets players dive deeper into early 1900s Sicily, combining gritty combat with high-speed racing. As players progress through the main story, they unlock Combat Challenges, which they can replay to earn tiered rewards.

Additionally, Racing Challenges push players’ driving skills to the limit on the city’s streets. Together, these challenges provide fresh ways to engage with the world, sharpen skills, and extend gameplay enjoyment. Moreover, they offer both casual and veteran players new objectives to pursue, keeping the experience exciting.
Exciting New Features

The update introduces several features that enhance the Mafia experience. Players can now capture the Sicilian setting in Photo Mode, complete with unique filters. Meanwhile, Cinema Siciliano, a black-and-white cinematic mode inspired by vintage Italian films, lets players relive the story like a classic movie.

Furthermore, Classic Difficulty returns for veterans seeking a tougher challenge, demanding careful management of health and ammunition. In addition, the new First-Person Driving perspective offers a more immersive and realistic experience in all vehicles. Together, these features create more ways for players to enjoy the game.
New Items and Collectibles

Free Ride also adds new vehicles, guns, knives, outfits, and charms for players to acquire. These additions let players customize their gameplay and explore Mafia: The Old Country in exciting ways. Although some content unlocks through gameplay, the update is free for all owners of the game.

Players on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam can immediately enjoy these additions, which expand both the game’s depth and replay value. Furthermore, the update gives fans more reason to revisit the world of Mafia and explore its streets in new ways.
