“Two million ducklings are now waddling through Duckov. We’re sincerely grateful to every player and to all the mod creators who helped build this amazing community.”
A Solo Extraction Shooter With a Feathered Twist

Released on October 16, Escape From Duckov puts a playful spin on the extraction shooter genre. Players take on the role of armed ducks scavenging resources across unpredictable battlefields, where they can either fight or flee to survive.

Unlike its inspiration, the game is entirely single-player, offering replayability through randomized loot, shifting weather, and dynamic enemy encounters. Each run feels distinct, ensuring that no two escapes are ever quite the same. Beyond scavenging, Duckov also introduces deeper mechanics such as hideout building, weapon modding, and gear progression.

Players can enhance their base, craft improved equipment, and adapt their playstyle for tougher challenges. The developers also maintain active support for mods through the Steam Workshop, encouraging creativity within its growing player base.
Overwhelmingly Positive Response From Players
Escape From Duckov isn’t just selling fast, it’s winning hearts, too. The game currently holds an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam, with more than 3,000 reviews praising its humor, charm, and surprisingly deep gameplay.

Players have celebrated the title for blending lighthearted parody with tactical, roguelike progression. Many describe it as “cute yet intense,” noting that its unpredictable systems keep every run fresh.

Community feedback has also highlighted Team Soda’s openness to modding and its consistent developer communication. This combination of creativity, polish, and player respect has helped Duckov stand out among this year’s indie hits.
A Breakout Indie Success
Escape From Duckov sold 500,000 copies during its opening weekend before skyrocketing to 2 million less than two weeks later. The surge cements it as one of 2025’s breakout indie titles, joining other chart-climbing hits like Peak and RV There Yet?

Team Soda
With continued support from Team Soda and publisher bilibili, the duck craze doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. Players can join the fun and check out Escape From Duckov now on PC via Steam. For more updates on the game, you can follow them on their official X account.
