Swedish game studio 10 Chambers has released a behind-the-scenes documentary for their upcoming sci-fi heist game, Den of Wolves, as the company marks its 10th year in operation.
The documentary gives viewers a look at the creative process behind Den of Wolves, featuring interviews with key developers alongside gameplay footage. The team is drawing on their past work on games like GTFO, Payday: The Heist, and PAYDAY 2 to build a cooperative action game set in Midway City, a corporate-controlled dystopia where players take on jobs as hired criminals.
The documentary highlights the studio’s detailed approach to building the game’s world. The team has created over 300 fictional corporate brands and designed Midway City’s large structures using inspiration from brutalist architecture and Kowloon Walled City.
“We’re putting in a lot of work and time to make Midway a believable city. Even though it’s not an open-world game, having the backdrop and knowing every brand building and brand you see has a purpose, gives the gameplay more value as well,” said Oscar J-T Holm, co-founder of 10 Chambers.

“Personally, I think it’s pretty lame of corporations to believe anyone would be interested in them having their anniversary, however long they’ve been alive. But we started looking back and found some fun pictures and stories, so we decided to put this website up to make it publicly available. There are some interesting stories there, I believe, that have never been told before,” said Robin Björkell, Communications Director at 10 Chambers.

The studio is also running a Streamathon, a 100-hour livestream where the GTFO development team and their community will attempt to complete the game together. The event is supporting the International Association for Suicide Prevention, a cause that is personally important to several members of the 10 Chambers team. Den of Wolves is currently available to wishlist on Steam.
