Developer Seed Lab has revealed a surprise crossover between its upcoming life simulation game Starsand Island and My Time at Portia, the beloved farming and crafting sim from Pathea Games. Announced alongside a brand-new trailer, the collaboration will see My Time at Portia’s popular characters Gust and Ginger move to the island shortly after launch, giving players a new set of neighbours to befriend and interact with.
Each character will arrive with their own storylines and friendship events, allowing players to explore unique personal arcs that expand on their personalities beyond what fans experienced in My Time at Portia. Whether you’re helping Gust find new artistic inspiration or spending time with Ginger under the island’s glowing skies, the crossover aims to bring a heartfelt blend of nostalgia and new discovery to Starsand Island’s community-driven gameplay.
Building Bonds Beyond Borders

This collaboration marks one of the first major partnerships between Seed Lab and another developer, hinting at a broader ambition to turn Starsand Island into a platform for creative crossovers within the simulation genre. Much like My Time at Portia, Starsand Island centres around building relationships, managing resources, and customising your surroundings — making the inclusion of Gust and Ginger a natural fit.

Players will be able to unlock these crossover storylines through exploration and daily interaction, seamlessly blending the two worlds while keeping the tone consistent with Starsand Island’s laid-back island life experience.
Release Date and Platforms

Starsand Island is scheduled to launch on 1 February 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store. Seed Lab has promised that more collaborations and post-launch updates are already in the works, suggesting this is only the beginning of the game’s evolving universe.
