SEGA is thrilled to announce that AirAsia’s unique Sonic the Hedgehog aircraft now features a fully redesigned cabin. Passengers can immerse themselves in the fast-paced world of Sonic, enjoying vibrant decorations, iconic characters, and interactive tie-ins with Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and Sonic Rumble.
A Cabin Inspired by Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds
The AirAsia X Airbus A330, tail number 9M XXU, now showcases designs from Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and other fan-favorite characters fill the cabin, creating a playful, high-speed atmosphere.

In addition, AirAsia-themed decals appear in the game, allowing players to customize their vehicles and race on unpredictable tracks that change each lap.

As part of the collaboration, AirAsia-themed decals are now available in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. Players can personalize their Machines and race on dynamic tracks that change with every lap, adding unpredictable twists to each competition. The game has earned an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam and a user score above 9.0 on Metacritic.

A free demo is currently available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games. Players can use the demo to customize Machines, equip various Gadgets, and test them in Grand Prix or Time Trial modes. Progress from the demo can be transferred to the full game once purchased.

Passengers and fans can also enjoy Sonic Rumble, a casual party royale game. Up to 32 players compete to collect the most rings across three rounds. The toy-inspired world combines Sonic’s signature speed with accessible multiplayer action, making the game entertaining for all ages.
