Announced during the Borderlands 4 panel at Tokyo Game Show 2025, C4SH will debut in Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned. This story pack launches in Q1 2026 and serves as the first of two planned DLC Vault Hunters.
A Vault Hunter Built on Luck
C4SH is a former casino dealer bot turned drifter who now chases artifacts that defy probability. His quest takes him into Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned, where cursed relics and cosmic horrors twist fortune into chaos.

Unlike previous Vault Hunters, C4SH thrives on unpredictability. He comes equipped with three Action Skills, each infused with chance-based mechanics. Gearbox describes his style as high risk and high reward, where outcomes can empower allies, devastate enemies, or drain enemy power. More details on his abilities will be revealed closer to launch.
How to Unlock C4SH

Players eager to recruit C4SH must purchase the Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned expansion, which introduces him as part of the story content. Alternatively, he can be unlocked through the Vault Hunter Pack or by owning the Borderlands 4 Super Deluxe Edition. These options give fans access to C4SH along with other exclusive bonuses.
Expanding Borderlands 4 Post-Launch

Gearbox also confirmed more post-launch support for Borderlands 4. Free updates will introduce seasonal mini-events, Invincible Bosses, and gameplay refinements. At the same time, paid DLC will expand the story with new adventures, loot, and cosmetics. Players can also expect Bounty Packs, which add smaller narrative episodes, gear, and a Vault Card progression system.
Borderlands 4 is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Fans can follow the official website and X for ongoing updates and trailers.
