The Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) announced the conclusion of Tokyo Game Show 2025 (TGS2025), which drew 263,101 visitors across four days at Makuhari Messe from September 25 to 28.

While attendance was slightly below last year’s 274,739 visitors, it surpassed the 243,238 attendees in 2023. This solid turnout reinforced TGS’s role as one of the world’s leading gaming events. Official streaming programs also reached audiences worldwide, with final viewership numbers to be confirmed later.
Exhibitors, Announcements, and Stage Events
This year’s theme, “Unlimited, Neverending Playground,” attracted 1,136 exhibitors from 47 countries and regions, setting a new record. The show floor showcased new console, PC, mobile, and VR titles, alongside merchandise, services, and industry solutions.

Key programs included the Opening Keynote, the Japan Game Awards 2025 Future Division ceremony, and the Top Game Creators Academy. Held in partnership with the Agency for Cultural Affairs and the Japan Arts Council, these sessions inspired young talent and highlighted the creative scope of modern gaming.
Strong Business and Global Reach

The TGS Business Matching System logged 3,591 appointments, underscoring the event’s role in fostering business opportunities. Meanwhile, 21 official programs streamed worldwide on YouTube, Twitch, X, and Niconico. To reach even more fans, TGS also partnered with DouYu and bilibili in China, and IGN in North America and Europe.
Looking Ahead to TGS2026

CESA confirmed that Tokyo Game Show 2026 will run from September 17 to 21, extending to five days for the first time. Makuhari Messe will again host the physical event, with offline and online programs expected to grow further.
