HoYoverse has announced that the Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.6 update “Back to Earth in Evernight” will launch on September 24. The update brings two familiar characters from the Astral Express crew as new playable options, along with fresh content and events for players to enjoy.
New Playable Characters
The update introduces Evernight, a 5-star Ice character who follows the Path of Remembrance. She works well with memosprites – special companions that get stronger when she’s on the team. Evernight can summon her own memosprite called Evey and build up something Memoria to make Evey deal more damage. Her Ultimate attack puts both herself and Evey into a powered-up state called Darkest Riddle.
Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae also joins the roster, bringing new earth-based powers after his previous Azure Dragon abilities. This version of Dan Heng can pick one teammate as a “Bondmate” and create a Souldragon to help them. He can give shields to the whole team and remove harmful effects from allies. When he uses his Ultimate, the Souldragon becomes stronger and can attack all enemies.
Players at Trailblaze Level 3 or higher can claim Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae for free during a limited time period that runs from his release until the end of Version 4.0.
New Content and Features
Version 3.6 adds “Anomaly Arbitration,” a challenging new trial mode where players must use three different teams across multiple stages to earn rewards including a new item called “Interference Key.”
The update also includes several events like “Nice Weather for Dromases” (a creature-raising event) and “Colorful Mayhem,” which offers multiplayer seasonal activities. A new Main Story Replay feature lets players revisit completed story missions and watch specific scenes or cutscenes again.
The new storyline continues on Amphoreus, where Evernight reveals her plan for Era Nova – a different approach to saving the world. Meanwhile, Dan Heng prepares to return to Amphoreus to reunite with the Express Crew, despite the risks involved. Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.6 will be available on September 24 for all players.
