Behaviour Interactive has unveiled the latest chapter in Dead by Daylight, titled Sinister Grace, introducing a terrifying new killer inspired by Thai folklore and a fresh survivor with a musical background. With the asymmetrical horror game approaching its 10th anniversary, the update proves that the developers are still finding new ways to expand its ever-evolving roster of characters and keep players engaged.
A Folklore Killer Enters the Fog

At the center of the Sinister Grace update is The Krasue, a chilling new killer inspired by Southeast Asian mythology. Known in Thai folklore as a floating disembodied head with trailing entrails, the Krasue can shift between two forms. In her human form, she uses a corrosive vomit attack that weakens survivors, leaving them vulnerable to her monstrous form. When transformed into her true state, she becomes a floating head that lashes out with an Intestinal Whip, making her one of the most visually unsettling killers yet.
According to the lore, The Krasue was once a woman named Burong Sukapat, who entered into a dark pact that cursed her into this horrific state. This blend of myth and original backstory ties her neatly into Dead by Daylight’s eerie pantheon of killers while offering a new kind of gameplay dynamic.
The Krasue’s Perks and Abilities

The Krasue introduces three unique perks that expand her sinister toolkit. Hex: Overture of Doom curses the generator farthest from her, causing survivors who attempt to repair it to panic while granting the killer an Undetectable status. Ravenous activates once she has hooked each survivor at least once, inflicting the Exposed status and forcing screams from her prey.
Wandering Eye gives her the ability to see the aura of nearby survivors while in a chase, allowing her to prioritize weaker or distracted targets. Together, these perks cement her identity as a predator who thrives on pressure and unpredictability.
A New Survivor Joins the Roster

Balancing out the addition of The Krasue is Vee Boonyasak, a new survivor hailing from Thailand. Vee is a drummer for the band Axekick, giving her an artistic flair that translates into gameplay with perks themed around rhythm and performance.
Her first perk, Ghost Notes, reduces Exhaustion recovery time while making her Scratch Marks fade more quickly, helping her slip away from danger. ONE-TWO-THREE-FOUR! rallies allies with a musical performance, granting teammates a flurry of skill checks that keep them engaged and active. Finally, Road Life rewards survivors with tokens when completing Great Skill Checks while injured, which can later be spent to restore a health state.
Vee’s perk set positions her as a versatile teammate who boosts the morale of others while retaining solid self-sufficiency, echoing the supportive role of a bard archetype in RPGs but with a horror twist.
Release Date and Availability
Players eager to try out both The Krasue and Vee Boonyasak can jump into the Public Test Build (PTB) now and experience their unique mechanics firsthand. The full update will roll out later this month with the launch of patch 9.2.0, bringing the Sinister Grace content to all players.
