Bandai Namco Studios Singapore and Kakehashi Games have confirmed that their upcoming action-adventure platformer, Hirogami, is still set to launch on September 3rd, 2025, for PC and PlayStation 5.
Hirogami Won’t Fold Despite Industry Delays
Hirogami first revealed its September launch window during June’s PlayStation State of Play. Since then, the game has appeared at the Future Games Show Summer Showcase and was showcased at Gamescom 2025, gaining steady international attention.
Many indie developers have recently delayed their September releases following the long-awaited announcement of Hollow Knight: Silksong. However, Hirogami is staying the course. Matt Sakuraoka-Gilman, Worldwide Publishing Director at Kakehashi Games, explained:
“We have nothing but love, admiration and best wishes for our friends at Team Cherry. And we have respect and understanding for every developer getting out of Silksong’s way. But Hirogami is ready to launch, our community is ready to play it, and we can’t wait to share it with the world.”
A Paper-Folded World of Adventure
Hirogami is set in a stylized origami-inspired universe, where players take control of Hiro, a warrior skilled in the ancient art of folding. Using his mystical fan, Hiro can transform into animal forms to traverse environments, solve puzzles, and battle enemies threatening the fragile paper realm.

Hirogami will launch on September 3rd, 2025, for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as PlayStation 5. Players can already wishlist Hirogami on Steam or pre-order it via the PlayStation Store.
