Final Fantasy Brave Exvius to End Service in Japan on October 31

Square Enix has announced that the Japanese server of Final Fantasy Brave Exvius (FFBE) will officially end-of-service on October 31. The news was shared through the game’s official Japanese X account, with the announcement originally published in Japanese.

This marks the complete closure of the long running mobile RPG, as the global version of Final Fantasy Brave Exvius had already shut down in 2024, leaving the Japanese server as the last active version. With this announcement, the decade-long journey of FFBE is now entering its final chapter.

Grand Finale Campaign and Memorial Edition

To thanks players for their generous continued support, Square Enix will host a “Grand Finale Campaign” leading up to the shutdown. The campaign will feature special events, rewards, and bonuses, allowing players to enjoy the game’s content until the very end.

After the end-of-service, Square Enix aims to release a Memorial Edition (limited to Apple App Store and Google Play). This edition will preserve certain parts of the game as a digital keepsake, letting fans revisit Final Fantasy Brave Exvius even after its closure.

A Decade of Final Fantasy Brave Exvius

Originally launched in 2015, Final Fantasy Brave Exvius quickly became one of Square Enix’s most popular mobile RPG, offering turn-based combat, new original storylines, and an expansive roster of characters pulled from across the Final Fantasy franchise and crossover collaborations.

The global server sadly closed in 2024, but the Japanese version has continued until now. With the Japanese server set to shut down this October, the game’s worldwide journey officially nears its end.

A Bittersweet Farewell

In its farewell notice, the team expressed a heartfelt gratitude, “We sincerely thank all of you who have played with us for such a long time. We would be delighted if you could continue to enjoy it until the very last moment.”

For fans who have followed Final Fantasy Brave Exvius over the past ten years, the Grand Finale Campaign represent the last chance to experience the game before its servers go offline.
