Hollow Knight: Silksong Gets Release Date – Coming September 4

Team Cherry has finally announced that Hollow Knight: Silksong will launch on September 4. The highly awaited sequel to the popular action-adventure game Hollow Knight will be available on multiple platforms and through Game Pass. Silksong will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. PC players can get the game through Steam, GOG, Humble Store, and Microsoft Store. The game will also be included in Game Pass.

In Silksong, players take control of Hornet, who was the princess-protector of Hallownest in the first game. Hornet finds herself captured and taken to a new kingdom ruled by silk and song. She must fight enemies and solve puzzles as she makes her way to the top of this dangerous new land.

This sequel follows the same action-adventure style as the original Hollow Knight, which won several awards. Players will explore new areas, learn new abilities, and battle many different types of enemies while uncovering secrets about Hornet’s past. The game features several new areas to explore, including coral forests, mossy caves, golden cities, and misty lands. All of these lead up to a bright citadel at the highest point of the world.

Combat gets an upgrade with new acrobatic moves that let players move smoothly between enemies in fast-paced fights. Players can also create and use various weapons, traps, and tools to defeat enemies and reach new areas. The game includes over 150 new enemies, from basic creatures to powerful bosses. There are also quests that involve hunting rare beasts, solving old mysteries, and finding lost treasures to help the people of this new kingdom.

Christopher Larkin, who composed music for the original Hollow Knight, returns to create the soundtrack for Silksong. The music will include sad melodies, orchestral pieces, and intense boss fight themes. After completing the main game, players can try Silk Soul mode, which offers a new and more challenging way to play through the adventure.
