With Gamescom 2025, SEGA is proud to announce that the iconic Dr. Eggman from the Sonic series will be joining two unrevealed villains as part of the lineup for the SEGA Villains Stage DLC coming to SHINOBI: Art Of Vengeance, which releases on August 29, 2025 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.
New Villain and Stage
Within the Sega Villains Stage DLC, villains from iconic SEGA franchises will make their appearance as bosses. Part of the line-up is our favourite moustached crazy scientist Dr. Eggman from the iconic Sonic series. The DLC will be available to those who purchased the Digital Deluxe Edition and the Digital Deluxe Upgrade. Besides the addition of characters , SEGA also dropped trailers for not one, but two new stages that Joe Musashi has to traverse in the base game.
One of these stages is The Desert. This is a stage that will challenge your time management as many timed challenges will be dispersed throughout the map, and you’ll need to learn to traverse as quickly as possible.
The other stage shown is the ENE Corp Laboratory. After traversing The Desert, the next pit stop to beat the ENE Corp is their laboratory. Joe Musashi has to infiltrate the source of their super soldiers to stop their inhumane experiments. The path will be dark and swarmed with invulnerable mutants, be very careful!
