Warner Bros. Games, TT Games, DC, and the LEGO Group have revealed LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. This new action-adventure game spans 86 years of Batman’s history across film, television, comics, and games. Moreover, it blends iconic Dark Knight moments with TT Games’ trademark LEGO humor, following Bruce Wayne’s journey from his origins to Gotham’s legendary protector.
A Celebration of Batman’s Legacy
TT Games, best known for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, is developing the game. The campaign highlights Batman’s evolution through the decades, retelling his defining moments with LEGO’s playful style. In addition, players will meet iconic allies like Jim Gordon, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul.

Furthermore, Gotham’s infamous villains return, including The Joker, The Penguin, Poison Ivy, Ra’s al Ghul, and Bane.
New Crime-Fighting Combat
Combat focuses on Batman’s signature fighting style. Players can chain fluid attacks, counters, and cinematic takedowns either solo or with a partner in local co-op. Additionally, each hero carries iconic gadgets such as Batarangs, Batclaws, Robin’s line launcher, and Catwoman’s whip.

These tools add variety and strategy to every fight. For those seeking a challenge, Caped Crusader and Dark Knight difficulty modes provide greater tests for veteran players.

Gotham as an Open-World Playground
The game features an expansive Gotham City filled with secrets, missions, and classic vehicles to unlock. Players can glide over rooftops, grapple between skyscrapers, or speed through the streets in Batmobiles and Batcycles. Meanwhile, the Batcave acts as a customizable hub with trophies, vehicles, and collectible displays.

It also features a wardrobe of Batsuits inspired by different eras. For example, fans can unlock the Golden Age Batsuit from Detective Comics #27 (1939) by creating a free WB Games account.

Platforms & Release

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight launches in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. In addition, players can wishlist the game on all platforms starting today to be ready when Gotham’s Dark Knight returns.
A Tribute to the Dark Knight
This project is more than just another LEGO title. For Warner Bros. Games, TT Games, DC, and the LEGO Group, it is instead a heartfelt tribute to Batman’s enduring legacy. By combining iconic stories with LEGO creativity, the game aims to connect with both lifelong fans and newcomers alike.
