Publisher Konami and developer NeoBards Entertainment have released a new story trailer for the upcoming psychological horror game Silent Hill f. The trailer was shown during gamescom 2025, giving fans their first detailed look at what to expect from this new entry in the beloved horror series.
Silent Hill f tells the story of Hinako Shimizu, who finds herself trapped when her quiet town of Ebisugaoka becomes covered in a mysterious fog. What was once a familiar place turns into something much darker and more dangerous. According to Konami’s official story description, players will guide Hinako through the twisted streets of her transformed hometown. The fog doesn’t just change how the town looks – it brings with it complex puzzles to solve and scary monsters that Hinako must face to stay alive.
The game brings together some well-known names in Japanese entertainment. The story comes from Ryukishi07, a respected author known for his work in psychological horror. Adding to the atmosphere is Akira Yamaoka, who will create the game’s soundtrack. Yamaoka has worked on music for previous Silent Hill games, so his return should please longtime fans of the series.
Moreover, the developers promise that Silent Hill f will blend the psychological horror elements that make Silent Hill special with a distinctly Japanese setting and style. The story focuses on themes of doubt, regret, and difficult choices that can’t be undone.
