Aniplex Inc. announced today that their upcoming mobile game Resident Evil Survival Unit has reached over one million pre-registrations worldwide. The game is being developed together with JOYCITY Corporation. The pre-registration numbers come from both the App Store and Google Play across several regions, including Japan, Korea, North America, Europe, and other parts of Asia.

Resident Evil Survival Unit is based on Capcom’s popular Resident Evil series but brings a new strategic gameplay experience designed specifically for mobile devices. The game combines easy-to-use mobile controls with deeper real-time strategy elements, letting players from around the world connect and compete in a survival-themed setting within the Resident Evil universe.
Characters like Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, and Jill Valentine return with individualized skill sets, allowing players to build cross-title teams. Each character brings tactical advantages, too. The game is set to launch globally sometime in 2025. Players can still sign up for pre-registration through the App Store, Google Play, or the game’s official website. Those who haven’t registered yet can still join to be part of the survival unit when the game releases.
The milestone shows strong early interest in bringing the Resident Evil franchise to mobile strategy gaming, as fans prepare for this new take on the zombie survival series.
