The voice cast for Reg, Riko, Nanachi, and Faputa will also reprise their roles. In addition, a new visual has revealed two new characters, Tepaste and Cravagli, who are expected to play a key role in the film.
Familiar Faces and Newcomers Return

Fans can expect a strong sense of continuity as the original team returns. The teaser image introduces Tepaste and Cravagli, adding mystery and excitement to the upcoming story. These characters could bring new perspectives to the journey through the Abyss.
A Legacy of Darkness and Wonder

Since its debut in 2017, Made in Abyss has gained praise for blending cute visuals with dark, emotional storytelling. In 2020, the film Dawn of the Deep Soul premiered and earned over 102 million yen during its opening weekend. That success paved the way for more theatrical releases.

The franchise continues to follow Riko, an orphan who dreams of exploring the Abyss, a deep and deadly pit full of danger and secrets. Along the way, she meets Reg, a strange humanoid robot, and together they face the harsh world beneath the surface.

If you’re new to the series, be sure to catch up on previous entries before watching the new one in 2026. For the latest news on the movie, be sure to follow Kadokawa on Facebook and other official platforms.
