Gust has revealed that the popular Atelier Ryza trilogy will receive enhanced DX versions across multiple platforms in 2025. The Atelier Ryza Trilogy DX will launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
The trilogy includes all three games in the series: Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout, Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy, and Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key. These DX versions will add new content to each game, including extra story parts and new playable characters.

Release plans differ by region. Koei Tecmo America announced that Western players will only be able to buy the trilogy digitally. In Japan, the Nintendo Switch 2 and Steam versions are confirmed as digital-only, while other platforms may have physical releases.
The timing celebrates the sub-series’ fifth anniversary, with each game getting updates to mark the milestone. The original trilogy has sold over two million copies worldwide since the first game launched.

Fans of the Atelier series won’t have to wait long for more details. A special broadcast about the Atelier Ryza Trilogy DX is scheduled for August 4, 2025, at 5 AM PT. This stream will likely show off the new content and features coming to the enhanced versions. All three original games in the trilogy are currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
The DX versions will give both new and returning players a chance to experience the complete story with additional content when they launch sometime in 2025.
