LEVEL5 Inc. has announced that FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time will get a physical Nintendo Switch 2 version in Japan on August 7. The cozy role-playing game has been doing well since its original launch on May 21, selling over 1.2 million copies across all platforms.
The game is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. While digital Nintendo Switch 2 versions have been available since the console launched, this will be the first time players can buy a physical copy for the new system.

Players who already own the original Nintendo Switch version can also upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 edition. However, Level-5 has only confirmed the physical release for Japan so far. There’s no word yet on whether physical copies will come to other regions, though some fans are hoping for an international release later on.
The game continues to grow with new content updates. Level-5 recently revealed that a free roguelike game mode is coming soon, featuring what they call a “roguelike open world” version of Ginormosia. This update will also add a new story character, though no exact release date has been set.

Additionally, a July update will bring a photo mode to FANTASY LIFE i. This feature will let players use emotes, change camera angles, and even remove buddies from shots. Level-5 plans to hold a photography contest once the photo mode goes live.
With strong sales numbers and regular content updates, FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time seems to be finding its audience across multiple platforms. The physical Nintendo Switch 2 release gives Japanese players another way to enjoy the game, while fans elsewhere will have to wait and see if Level-5 expands the physical release globally.
