Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2 will arrive on June 30, bringing two fan-favorite monsters back to the hunt along with highly requested customization features.
The update introduces Lagiacrus, the electric Leviathan that rules the seas. This monster hasn’t appeared in a mainline Monster Hunter game since Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. Players will face Lagiacrus both on land and in special underwater encounters, where normal weapon attacks won’t work but hunters can still find ways to fight back.
Joining Lagiacrus is Seregios, the golden Flying Wyvern known for its speed and razor-sharp scales that cause bleeding. This agile monster fires bladescales at hunters, making health management crucial during the fight.
Both monsters require Hunter Rank 31 and completion of the “A World Turned Upside Down” main mission to unlock. For players seeking greater challenges, 8-star Tempered versions of both monsters will be available at Hunter Rank 41.

New Customization Options and Events
Title Update 2 introduces Layered Weapons, allowing players to use any weapon’s appearance while keeping another weapon’s stats and abilities. To unlock a weapon design, players must craft the final weapon in that upgrade tree or fully reinforce Rarity 8 Artian weapons. Photo Mode also gets improvements with new effects options for brightness and filters, plus the ability to hide handlers, Palicos, and Seikrets from shots.
Players can now choose Eric as their field handler after completing the Lagiacrus mission, giving the usual handler Alma a break. A new Support Hunter named Mina, who uses Sword & Shield, joins the roster of available companions.

The Festival of Accord: Flamefete summer event runs from July 23 to August 6, offering limited-time armor, gestures, and decorations. Starting July 30, an even tougher Arch-Tempered Uth Duna will be available as a limited-time quest until August 20, rewarding new gamma armor sets. In a special collaboration with guitar maker Fender, players can earn a gesture featuring the Monster Hunter Rathalos Telecaster through an event quest running August 27 to September 24.

Along with the update, new cosmetic DLC will be available, including four free dance gestures and additional paid content. Players who own the Premium Deluxe Edition or Cosmetic DLC Pass will get access to Cosmetic DLC Pack 2. Capcom confirmed that a third free Title Update is planned for late September, though details remain under wraps for now. Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2 launches June 30 across all platforms.
