Capcom has announced a big lineup of new characters heading to Street Fighter 6 over the next year and beyond. Four fan-favorite fighters will join the roster as part of Year 3, each bringing their own unique fighting style to the popular game. A special trailer was released featuring pro wrestler Kenny Omega wearing outfits from all four new characters.

The first to arrive will be Sagat in Summer 2025. This Muay Thai master was the final boss in the very first Street Fighter game and is known for his huge size and powerful kicks. Players will get to test their skills against this classic character when he drops this summer. Next up is C. Viper, coming in Autumn 2025. This undercover agent was last seen in Street Fighter IV wearing her high-tech battle suit. She’s ready to complete her mission and will bring all her gadgets and tools to help take down opponents.

Winter 2025 will see the return of Alex, the pro wrestler who was popular in Street Fighter V. Fans can expect his signature high-flying grappling moves and takedowns under the bright arena lights. Finally, Ingrid will arrive in Spring 2026. Don’t let her appearance fool you – she’s described as an extremely powerful and mysterious fighter who can hold her own against any opponent.

Street Fighter 6 is also coming to the newly released Nintendo Switch 2 as one of its launch titles, complete with exclusive new game modes. Capcom also brought back some exciting tournament news. The Capcom Cup 12 will once again offer a massive $1 million prize for the winner. The event will take place in 2026 at Tokyo’s famous Ryogoku Kokugikan sumo arena for the second year running. Players can compete throughout the Capcom Pro Tour 2025 season for their chance to qualify.
