HoYoverse has announced that Zenless Zone Zero’s major Version 2.0 update, titled “Where Clouds Embrace the Dawn,” will launch on June 6, 2025. The update marks the beginning of Season 2 in Zenless Zone Zero and introduces the game to Xbox platforms for the first time.

Version 2.0 takes players to the Waifei Peninsula, a new district of New Eridu where they’ll explore alongside Yi Xuan, the High Preceptor of Yunkui Summit. The main hub, Failume Heights, features traditional tea houses, pawnshops, and dessert stalls situated near the resource-rich Lemnian Hollow, known for its rare Porcelume deposits.

Players will also manage their own Suibian Temple, upgrading facilities and earning rewards through Bangboo dispatch missions, commissions, and resource collection from Hollows.

Combat Updates and New Characters

The Lemnian Hollow introduces new gameplay mechanics, including the dangerous Miasma that can enhance enemies with shields and boosted abilities when they enter the Miasmic Field state.

Several new characters join the roster:

• Yixuan (S-Rank): The Grandmaster features a unique Auric Ink attribute and Rupture specialty, ignoring enemy defense while dealing damage based on Sheer Force. She uses an Adrenaline mechanic instead of regular Energy and has two distinct Ultimate modes.
• Ju Fufu (S-Rank Fire Stun Agent): Yunkui Summit’s senior disciple wields the weapon Hu Wei, accumulating Might and Momentum points to deal both Physical and Fire damage. Her Chain Attack provides team-wide CRIT DMG boosts.
• Pan Yinhu (A-Rank Physical Defense Agent): A kitchen-savvy panda character from Yunkui Summit.
• Belion (S-Rank Bangboo): Another Yunkui Summit addition.

Returning characters Astra Yao (S-Rank Ether Support) and Caesar (S-Rank Physical Defense) will also be featured in Version 2.0 banners. The update introduces a new 3D map system with enhanced navigation features. Fissure Beacons allow players to restore HP, revive Agents, and teleport for more efficient exploration. New players can skip directly to Season 2’s storyline after completing Season 1 Chapter 2 Interlude.

Hollow Zero: Lost Void receives updates including new commissions and the ability to equip multiple Gears to different Agents for increased strategic depth.

To celebrate the game’s first anniversary, Version 2.0 offers substantial rewards:

Zenless Zone Zero Version Season 2 will officially launch on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Cloud Gaming alongside existing PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, and Android platforms.
