Bandai Namco has officially announced that Digimon Expo 2025 will take place from September 20 to 21 at Prism Hall in Tokyo Dome City. This in-person event will serve as a comprehensive celebration of the Digimon franchise, encompassing all major aspects including anime, video games, card game, and merchandise.
The company plans to release more detailed information about Digimon Expo 2025 on June 26, when fans can expect to learn more about specific programming, exhibits, and potential announcements.
This announcement comes during what has already been an eventful year for Digimon gaming enthusiasts. The franchise has seen the recent announcement of Digimon Story: Time Stranger, which marks the return of the popular Digimon Story game series after a significant hiatus. Additionally, a new mobile game titled Alysion has been unveiled, though specific release information remains limited.
With the Digimon Expo 2025 now officially scheduled, fans are speculating that these two upcoming titles—Digimon Story: Time Stranger and Project Alysion—may receive substantial updates during the event. Given that Time Stranger is expected to release in 2025, the expo could provide an ideal platform for Bandai Namco to share new gameplay details or potentially announce a release date.
While no information about livestreaming has been confirmed for international fans unable to attend in person, major announcements from the event are expected to reach the global Digimon community shortly after they’re revealed in Tokyo.
