Tokyo Game Show 2025 organizers have kicked off preparations for this year’s event with the release of a new teaser video and logo redesign. The announcement came today, Thursday, May 15, as anticipation builds for the popular gaming expo scheduled for September 25-28, 2025.
This year’s visual identity features artwork by illustrator Zashiki Warashi, known for their delicate and distinctive artistic style. The teaser video, available now on the official TGS YouTube channel, introduces newly drawn characters created under the theme “An endless playground where you can’t play enough.”
“Having grown up with video games since childhood, it is a great honor for me to be involved in this project,” said Zashiki Warashi in a statement. The artist explained their approach to the teaser illustration as creating “a composition to create a sense of anticipation and excitement in the viewer, even with limited information.”

Along with the new visual identity, TGS 2025 has unveiled a redesigned logo that will make its debut at this year’s event. The stylish new design symbolizes TGS entering a new era of gaming experiences and next-generation entertainment. Visitors to the event will find a large monument featuring this logo near the venue, providing an ideal photo opportunity.

To celebrate the teaser video release, organizers have announced a special gift campaign running from May 15 through May 31, 2025. Fans can participate through the official TGS X account by following the account and reposting designated campaign posts for a chance to win limited edition T-shirts. Additionally, Tokyo Game Show 2025 media partners will be conducting their own campaigns offering prizes including mobile accessory cases, mouse pads, and neck straps.
