Infold Games unmasks the latest update for Infinity Nikki, Version 1.4: Revelry Season as it sets its launch on 26 March. A teaser trailer has been debuted at the Future Game Show Spring Showcase, with a full trailer released not long after, allowing players to get a more immersive look at the exciting new chapter, complete with exciting content, events, and an engaging storyline.

Infinity Nikki Version 1.4: Revelry Season brings the enchanting Wish Carnival Party, where the heart of the party, the Carnival Mask takes center stage. Reserved exclusively for the Carnival King, this cherished mask adds to the festive magic. Join Nikki and Momo as they witness the lively celebration. Set on Floating Wish Isle, Revelry Season breathes new life into Infinity Nikki’s vibrant world with a dazzling reimagining of the isle, honoring the whimsical Faewish sprites that infuse the world with charm.

This announcement follows a milestone at GDC for the Infold team. With a strong presence from the development team, Kentaro Tominaga, the assistant director of Infinity Nikki, delivered a talk on teaching level design to first-time designers. The presentation highlighted strategies for overcoming barriers between development teams, including generational, linguistic, and experiential differences.

Among the highlights of Tominaga’s talk include:

• Bridging Language & Generational Gaps: The Infinity Nikki team leveraged machine translation tools, dedicated interpreters, and in-person meetings to enhance communication between Japanese and Shanghai-based developers.
• Empowering First-Time Level Designers: New designers were encouraged to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and grasp the reasoning behind design choices, fostering stronger problem-solving and creative decision-making skills.
• Creating a Feedback Repository: A structured system was developed to compile key design discussions, enabling team members to reference past decisions and maintain consistency in level design throughout the project.
• Refining Momo Search Through Iteration: Playtesting uncovered usability issues, prompting the team to refine the Momo Search feature, ensuring players could track objectives smoothly without disrupting gameplay.
• Collaborative Achievement in Infinity Nikki: By emphasizing structured communication, iterative feedback, and shared learning, the team successfully trained new designers and completed Infinity Nikki, demonstrating a flexible and effective development process.

For those who were unable to attend the GDC talk, they are able to view the presentation again in the GDC Vault this coming April 5.

To top it all off, the heart of Infinity Nikki lies in its aesthetic outfits fitting each events theme. So Version 1.4 will also include a new variety of outfits, including two new outfits from the Limited-Time Resonance and four free outfits available via the event and Heartfelt Gifts Store which include:
