Split Fiction on PC Brings Full Steam Integration, Steam Deck Support, and More

Hazelight Studios has announced that their upcoming co-op adventure Split Fiction will come on PC with full Steam integration when it launches on March 6th. The game will be Steam Native, meaning players won’t need to use the EA App to play—just the Steam client itself. This streamlined approach will make it easier for friends to connect through Steam’s invitation system for quick access to the game’s cooperative action.

The adventure starring Mio and Zoe has also received Steam Deck verification, allowing players to take the experience on the go. With built-in cross-play functionality and Steam Cloud Save support, gamers can seamlessly transition between PC and Steam Deck, continuing their progress wherever they choose to play.

For PC gamers concerned about performance, Hazelight has revealed comprehensive system requirements. The minimum specs call for a GTX 970 or Radeon RX 470 paired with an Intel Core i5-6600k or AMD Ryzen 5 2600k processor. For the best experience at 1440p and 60fps, they recommend an RTX 3070 or Radeon 6700 XT with an Intel i7-11700k or Ryzen 7 5800X. The game will require 85GB of storage space regardless of setup.

Split Fiction embraces accessibility with numerous options including subtitle customization, simplified input alternatives for complex sequences, damage modifiers, and fully remappable controls. The game also supports ultrawide monitors with 21:9 and 32:9 resolutions for an expansive view of its varied environments.

Console players haven’t been forgotten, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions running at dynamic 4K resolution and 60fps, while Xbox Series S maintains 60fps at 1080p. The game is now available for preloading across all platforms ahead of its March 6th release.
