EA SPORTS FC has announced the highly anticipated return of football icon Diego Maradona to EA SPORTS FC 25 and Football Ultimate Team. Starting February 14th, players can experience the legendary Argentine footballer both as a Grassroots Great and as a regular ICON.

The return of Maradona pays tribute to his extraordinary journey from humble beginnings to global stardom. His legacy spans from the iconic La Bombonera to Napoli’s stadium, now named Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, where he left an indelible mark on the sport with his exceptional skill, memorable goals, and numerous trophies.

Players can access Maradona in Football Ultimate Team between February 14th and March 14th through a special feature called Diego’s Dream Evolution. This unique progression system allows players to develop Maradona’s character from a 77 OVR rating, commemorating his international debut against Hungary in 1977 at age 16, to an impressive 89 OVR rating, marking his triumphant captaincy of Napoli in the 1989 UEFA Cup final victory over Stuttgart.

Mobile players haven’t been forgotten, as EA SPORTS FC Mobile will feature Maradona from February 20th to March 27th. Mobile users can unlock Maradona’s item by participating in Challenge Mode, which features five PvE matches inspired by pivotal moments from his illustrious career.
