[TGA 2024] Borderlands 4 First Look – Gearbox Unveils Chaos on Planet Kairos

The Game Awards 2024 unveiled a first look at Borderlands 4, marking an exciting return to the beloved looter-shooter series. Developed by Gearbox Software and published by 2K, the latest entry promises all the chaotic, loot-driven action fans adore, paired with bold new innovations. Scheduled for release in 2025, the game will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, but there’s no word yet on a Nintendo Switch or previous-gen release.

A New Frontier: Welcome to Kairos

This time, the chaos unfolds on Kairos, a dangerous new planet rife with mechanical monstrosities, ruthless bandits, and vicious beasts. At the heart of the story is the Timekeeper, a tyrannical dictator whose quest for ultimate order puts the galaxy in jeopardy. Players must rise up against his regime, blasting their way through perilous environments to bring freedom to the oppressed.

What’s New in Borderlands 4?

Gearbox Software is taking the series to new heights with several exciting features:

• New Vault Hunters and Skill Trees: The game introduces a fresh roster of Vault Hunters with more expansive skill trees, allowing players to craft the most over-the-top builds yet.
