Digimon World: Next Order Reaches 1 Million Sales Milestone

Bandai Namco and developer B.B. Studio have announced that Digimon World: Next Order has surpassed 1 million copies sold worldwide. The milestone comes after multiple platform releases spanning several years.

The digital monster-raising RPG first debuted in Japan on PlayStation Vita in March 2016, before receiving a global PlayStation 4 release in January 2017. The game’s reach expanded further with worldwide ports for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam in February 2023, making it accessible to an even broader audience.

Digimon World: Next Order features over 200 Digimon from the animated series and introduces a unique dual-partner system, a first for the franchise. Players explore a Digital World in crisis, working to combat rampaging Machinedramons while raising and training their Digimon companions.

The game distinguishes itself through its comprehensive partner development system, where every interaction matters. Players must engage in real-time activities including raising, training, and feeding their Digimon, creating meaningful bonds that directly impact their partners’ growth.
