After the NVIDIA Game Driver Profile surfaced earlier this month, Square Enix’s has announced the PC release date of Final Fantasy 16. The game will be coming to PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on September 17, 2024.
Final Fantasy 16 offers a dark and mature narrative with complex characters and themes, which appeals to a broad audience. The game’s focus on a personal tale of revenge and the intricate political conflicts in the world of Valisthea resonates with players who enjoy rich, story-driven experiences. Premise
Final Fantasy 16 is set in the world of Valisthea, a land blessed with the light of the Mothercrystals and dominated by six powerful nations. Each of these nations is associated with an Eikon, a powerful and mythical creature summoned by a human known as a Dominant.
The story centers on Clive Rosfield, the firstborn son of the Archduke of Rosaria. Chosen to inherit Phoenix’s power, Clive instead becomes protector to his brother Joshua, the true Dominant. But when Ifrit appears, tragedy strikes, leading Clive on a dark journey of revenge.
The game will offer two editions, a Standard Edition which comes with the base game only and Complete edition which includes the Echoes of the Fallen and Rising Tides DLCs. Players can also purchase the Expansion Pass which contains both DLCs at a discounted price. At the moment, there is no price listing on Steam for the DLCs.
Additionally, Final Fantasy 16 is up for pre-order now. Pre-purchasing either versions of the game will grant you these items:
- “Sixteen Bells” Orchestrion Roll
- Cait Sith Charm (Gil Boost Accessory)
- Brave Blade Weapon
As mentioned, Final Fantasy 16 has a set release date of September 17, 2024 on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
