Monolith Soft has just announced that they are currently recruiting development staff for a “new RPG game”. 8 roles have been revealed on what they are currently looking for: 2D designer, 3DCG designer for character and map, development environment engineer, field level designer, assistant director, in-game animator and effect designer.
Monolith Soft is a Japanese video game development studio best known for creating the Xenoblade Chronicles series, a popular RPG franchise that has gained acclaim for its expansive worlds, complex narratives, and deep combat systems.

Currently, there are no details beyond the project other than it’s going to be a new RPG, director Tetsuya has mentioned. In a message written by him, Monolith Soft is currently looking for talented people as the “content to be created is getting more sophisticated”.
As I mentioned in the previous recruitment, Monolith Soft has been producing games with a small number of people compared to the scale of the titles we make. This was something we were proud of, but the current situation in the gaming scene means that we can no longer say so. – Tetsuya Takahashi, Director of Monolith Soft
He has also mentioned that due to the increasing demands of recent games, it’s not easy to develop a large scale game with a small team and meet the consumer’s expectations at the same time. This recruitment is part of their effort to bolster their team for upcoming projects and maintain high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

The latest game that was developed by Monolith Soft was Xenoblade Chronicles 3 which was released on the Nintendo Switch on July 29, 2022. The game takes place in the world of Aionios, where two nations, Keves and Agnus, are locked in an eternal war. Soldiers in this world are artificially created with a lifespan of only ten years, and they spend their entire lives fighting for their respective nations.
